I am not a MacPorts expert, but I did find. With macports the correct command to install fortran would be sudo port install gcc6 +gfortran This will install gfortran.

My Mac has the full XCode 10.0 installed, so I did not get these warnings. I dont care about rust per se, but its a dependency for FFMPEG, which I do want. Now MacPorts will look for portfiles in the working copy and use Git instead of rsync Having same problem on a 2018 Macbook Pro (running High Sierra 10.13.6) - just uploaded log file ('rustinstallfailureBJK.log'). Should look like this: rsync:///macports/release/tarballs/ports.tar Ĭhange it to point to the working copy you checked out: file:///opt/mports/macports-ports opt/local/etc/macports/nf in a text editor. Check out the ports tree from git: $ cd /opt/mports $ git clone This step is useful if you want to do port development. (Optional) Configure MacPorts to use port information from Git configure -enable-readline $ make $ sudo make install $ make distclean configure to relocate MacPorts to another directory if needed. MacPorts uses autoconf and makefiles for installation.

apt update apt install liblexbor apt install liblexbor-dev macOS Homebrew To install lexbor on macOS from Homebrew: brew install lexbor MacPorts To install lexbor on macOS from MacPorts : sudo port install lexbor Source code. (gfortran only), updated June 2018 (High Sierra. $ mkdir -p /opt/mports $ cd /opt/mports $ git clone $ cd macports-base $ git checkout v2.7.2 # skip this if you want to use the development version Install Lexbor base package and additional packages you would like to use. On 10.9 Mavericks or higher, you can get the command-line tools by simply typing. Update Macports and the ports tree, either prior to installing ports or as a separate step. Will create /opt/mports/macports-base containing everything needed for opt/mports will be used, but you can put the source anywhere. Now Photoshop and Lightroom have proper GPU acceleration and work smoothly again including the Select & Mask filter in Photoshop.Pick a location to store a working copy of the MacPorts code.
I also turned on iGPU support in the EFI BIOS but I don't think this was it. I tried a few things, including changing back from iMacPro1,1 to iMac18,3. I had some troubles with the Display Port monitor (main) not turning on after installation but the DVI monitor was fine.from Finder, I directly upgraded to Catalina (Install macOS Catalina.app).finally cloned the boot disk EFI partition to the "Emergency Backup" disk (use Clover Configurator).recreated the kernel cache on the clone "Emergency Backup".blessed the System folder on the clone "Emergency Backup".When for example run port selfupdate (or any other command) I get the following error: setmaxopenfiles: setrlimit failed: invalid argument while executing 'setmaxopenfiles' (procedure 'mportinit' line 41) invoked from within 'mportinit uioptions globaloptions. updated the Clover package on the boot disk (risky without a backup of the original) I have recently re-installed MacPorts from the High Sierra install package.installed Clover on backup disk "Emergency Backup" from a package (Clover_v2.5k_r5099.pkg).switched to the new GPU to make sure it worked.(see instruction for APFS cloning (Belight Soft disk clone with Rsync) I skipped the "preboot" step because my target disk is HFS+.I copied all the files to the regular 2 TB HFS+ internal disk called "Emergency Backup". Backuped with rsync from MacPorts (/opt/local/bin/rsync).

I replaced the GeForce 1060 GPU to a Radeon RX 590 so I could upgrade to Catalina 10.15.1 from High Sierra 10.13. Photoshop 2020 (v21.0.1) and the new Lightroom Classic v9.0 (Camera Raw v12) became unstable and jerky with High Sierra and the GeForce 1060 GPU with the last Adobe update. I upgraded directly from High Sierra to Catalina without any major issues, once I switched to a compatible GPU.
